HOUSE REPUBLICANS IN WASHINGTON STATE SEEK MAJORITY COALITION TO MIRROR UNUSUAL LEADERSHIP OF LAST TWO YEARS IN THE STATE SENATE

© Krantz News Service, September 18, 2014

A coalition of Republicans and two Democrats has set the agenda in the Washington State Senate for the past two years, but Democrats still control the House. Republicans need six seats in the state House to change that.

Hundreds of Republicans gathered on Sep. 13 at the rural farm of Rep. J.T. Wilcox, the House Republican floor leader, for his 4th Annual Salmon Bake, and leaders spoke of bringing coalition politics to the state?s lower chamber, long dominated by the Democrats.
